Just a really brief note from me tonight. I started a new blog recently where I intend to post tutorials aimed at PSP users to create scrap elements. I've not actually started or posted anything just yet, but I'm hoping I'll be able to spend some time tomorrow doing that - at least get one tutorial written and posted. I wanted to post here to announce the new blog in case anyone would be interested in taking a look. You can click the logo to visit the new blog.
Happy New Year to you all & stay tuned to this blog for a new post coming at midnight for January's blog train kit.

TOU - Updated 12/30/2011
I've updated my TOU effective as of today, December 30, 2011. Basically, everything that was allowed previously is still allowed. I've added a few new "you may" notes and tried to condense them a bit. All the specifics are noted below. I'll now be allowing commercial/for-profit use as well. I've been approached a few times asking if my drawn images were allowed to be used as clipart in others' scrapkits. I'd never been able to figure out how to allow free and licensed use, but after seeing a few different blogs where others did just that, I thought I'd give it a go myself and see how it works out.
If you have any questions or need anything clarified, please email me, and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
Capricious Scraps TOU
Updated 27 December 2011
My terms of use are divided into 2 basic sections.
• The first is personal/non-profit use.
• The second is commercial/for-profit use.
You may use my scraps & elements posted here on my blog for any non-profit use you'd like, whether for yourself or to share with others. Basically, if you're making something to give away, feel free to use the items I've created & posted here to share however you'd like.
For non-profit uses when making a final item (tag, email stationery, card) for yourself or others, providing credit to me is optional (although it's always appreciated). You may simply say "Scraps by Amy" or "Capricious Scraps," with or without the © symbol.
For non-profit uses when using one of my items to make a new scrap item you're giving away or some other sort of resource file, there is a credit requirement. Please provide credit to me for the items used in your own TOU or credit file and provide a link back to my blog.
You may also use my posted scraps & elements from my blog for any for-profit use you'd like as well. If you'd like to use them commercially to make money in some way, a license may be purchased via PayPal for $2.00 per item you'd like to use, or an unlimited use license covering all items on my blog (current & future) is available for a flat $20.00. Again, you may use all my items commercially in any way you'd like unless otherwise noted. If anything is off-limits for commercial uses, it will be noted in the downloaded zip file's individual TOU file.
In for-profit uses, there is a credit requirement. Please include a credit for items used in your own TOU or credit file and provide a link back to my blog.
Just don't claim my files as your own. Take them, do something with them, make them unique & different, then share them, and let folks know where you snagged the original files.
If you're interested in commercial use, please contact me by email at capriciousdream [at] gmail [dot] com. Thanks!
If you have any questions or need anything clarified, please email me, and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.

New Download Links for All Files
Hello everyone :) I've just finished updating all of my download links to use SkyDrive rather than 4Shared or Mediafire. Based on all the responses I got on my last couple of posts, most everyone seemed to prefer SkyDrive over the other sites.
The only downside is on my end as there is nowhere to leave a comment on SkyDrive nor is there any way to count how many downloads any given file gets. I hope you all will be able to leave a comment either on the individual posts or in the chatbox if you download or like something. That way I'll have a better idea of what to do more of or what's most popular.
While I was updating all those links, I have also updated my TOU file in each download zip. I'll post a second entry later pertaining specifically to the new TOU.

Jingle & Jangle
I wanted to do a new batch of Christmas images, and I started on the elves several days ago. Seeing as how Christmas is just a couple of days away, I figured I'd go ahead and share what I had finished. I hope someone will like some of the bits & be able to put them to use. :)
The last kit I shared using Skydrive, and everyone seemed to like using that site better than either 4shared or Mediafire. So that's where I've uploaded this as well. I'm off work next week so I'm going to try reuploading my other, older kits & bits to Skydrive and will update the links as I get them ready. I'm going to be changing/updating my TOU as well so will try to do everything at the same time.
Contents:
- Jingle & Jangle the elves (each 1000 px tall)
- 2 evergreen trees (over 1000 px tall)
- Wreath (500 px)
- 2 stockings (each 800 px tall)
Download from Skydrive here (There isn't a place on Skydrive to leave a comment so please leave a note here, either in the comments or the chatbox. Thanks!)

New tut link using my BBQ kit
Angel has written another couple of tuts using some of my scraps. This is the first one using my BBQ kit from last year. I kept seeing visits to my blog originating from hers so went & took a peek. It was a nice surprise to find she'd written these tuts. It's a treat for me to see that folks really do use the stuff I make & share. Thank you! :)
If anyone ever writes a tut using my stuff here, please always drop me a note so I can take a look too. And if anyone makes a tag using my stuff, again let me know. I love seeing what everyone makes!

CU Resource Freebie - Patriotic Gradients
Something different from me today. I was working on another project, and I kept making various red, white, & blue gradients to use for what I was making. So I thought maybe someone else could use them, too.
These are okay for commercial use. I figured that way if anyone does download them and add them to their PSP program, you won't have to remember if they're okay or not if you use them to make something you wind up selling.
Contents: 6 .PspGradient files as shown in the preview below
These were made in PSP 9. They should work in version 8 and newer, but check your program for compatibility. I only have version 9 so don't have any means of converting these or making them compatible with older versions or other programs.

All A'Bloom Kit
This one has actually been in the works since the rain showers kit - or around the same time at least. I was working on them both at the same time for awhile, but I wasn't making much progress on either until I made myself stick to one at a time. lol I finally finished this one off just a little bit ago & got it uploaded. I hope someone will like it & be able to put it to some use!
I also wanted to add a note of thanks for all the responses I've had for the survey. Looks like the majority prefer having everything in one zip file rather than having the papers & elements separated into two files so that's how I'll continue uploading mine. Regarding the second question on the survey, it looks like there is interest in commercial use of my stuff. I'll update in reference to that later once I've looked into it a bit further.
Contents (not everything is shown on the preview):
- 24 papers (800 x 800 px)
- 10 bows
- 6 buttons
- 6 binder clips
- 28 flowers (I finally made myself quit making more. lol)
- 1 leaf to use with any of the flowers you'd like
- 12 frames
- 5 glass buttons
- 4 journal tags
- 6 pinwheels
- 4 ribbons (890 px long)
- 3 ribbon tags
- 3 stitched flowers
- 4 glitter doodles
- 6 tags
- 2 mouse-drawn images: dandelion & watering can

Survey for visitors
Hi folks :)
Just a short post to ask that you take this 2 question survey I put together. I've been approached a few times regarding allowing my drawn images to be used like clip art in scrap kits others make and sell. I'd like to get some feedback from those of you who visit my blog to see if it would be something worth looking into. If I did go for something like that, everything would stay free for personal/non-profit use, and there would either be a small charge per item or a flat amount for unlimited use of everything from now on if used commercially/for-profit.
Second, I'd like to know if you'd prefer my kits be zipped into 2 files - one for the papers and a second for the elements. Just curious if most of you want/use the papers too or mainly download for the bits. Or even if the 2 smaller file sizes would be easier or preferable to one larger file for downloading limits and speeds.
You can take the survey here. It's just a 2 question one, so won't take long at all. I appreciate the info & help. :)

Flower Pack
Something new from me tonight. I keep thinking spring is just around the corner, but then all of a sudden earlier this evening it started snowing. The ground's covered again. lol Looks like spring is going to be awhile getting here still, but maybe these will help brighten things up. Hope someone can use them for something.
Pack contains 24 different flowers. Each is 450 x 450 pixels or 1.5" x 1.5" square in size. So hopefully big enough to use for larger projects. :)

Created a Facebook Fan Page
Good afternoon to everybody :) I recently created a Facebook fan page for my blog as an option for those who like getting updated when new things are added on my blog. I thought some might prefer that to either subscribing by email through FeedBlitz or "Following" through Blogger's dashboard.
So, if you would like to "Like" my page, I hope you'll do so. I haven't really done anything with the page yet beyond set it up, but I'd like to, at some point, possibly provide a photo album to showcase the things you guys create with my scraps and bits. Maybe I'll even manage to come up with a few ideas to do some special Facebook-only things. :)

Tut using my BBQ Kit
Tori's Tidbits Tutorials has written a tutorial using my BBQ Kit. Thought I'd share a link to it here so anyone who might be interested could give it a try, too.
It's always a treat for me to see how folks use my kits and bits. :) Thank you, Tori!

Hoo Loves Ya
Got to thinking about doing something for Valentine's Day today, and I remembered those little Valentine cards we probably all used to give out in grade school. The ones with animals or fruit or foods with a little saying or a play on words relating to the subject of the card. I wanted to make a whole bunch of these, but they probably won't show up before the holiday tomorrow. So, here's one and maybe the first of several others that'll eventually pop up here. Hope someone can use this. :)
I'm actually working on a kit right now too. I hope I'll get that uploaded by next weekend.

Year Of The Rabbit
Two new posts within a single week - no telling how long it will be before I get something else new made & uploaded. lol It's another new freebie image though, sort of a continuation from last year's Year of the Tiger image. The download link for the tiger is still working as of a few minutes ago when I checked it. I'm planning to eventually get one made for each of the Chinese zodiac animals. Hope someone might like it & be able to use it for something. :)
Much larger than shown below. Actual dimensions are 657 x 900 px tall.
